Do you ship everywhere in Canada? In the USA?

We ship everywhere in Canada. We don't ship to the USA.

What is the lead time from the date I place an order?

Orders received before 13:00 will typically ship the same day with a 24 to 48 hours delivery time within major metropolitan areas in Quebec and Ontario. Contact our team to get delivery time estimates.

What is your preferred payment methods?

"Duropac" makes it is easy to pay for your packaging. We accept credit cards and EFTs. We can extend credit depending on your current supplier reference. Please contact our team to proceed with your payment preference method.

What are the differences between multilayer coex pouches & premium coex vacuum pouches?

Our Premium vaccum pouch contains more nylon for clarity and resistance purpose. Contact our team to get more information.

Do you provide samples for test?

Since we don't accept product return for health and safety reasons, samples are free of charge. Contact our team to get your free samples.

What are the differences between boilable & cooking vacuum pouches?

1-Boilable vacuum pouches (Coex & Premium) can be used to re-heat food. Hot water: It can be boiled for a maximum of 20 minutes at 100C°. Microwave: Cooking pouch can support a maximum cooking time of 3 minutes in the microwave. important note: make sure that the package is open, otherwise vapor might burn end user and the pouch might explode.

2-Cooking bags can be used to cook for a longer period of time mainly at low temperature in hot water. Cooking bags are recommended and approved for Sous-vide Cooking. Heating conditions: Sous-vide cooking: Cooking pouches can be used for cooking or reheat in hot water at a temperature up to 100 C° for maximum of 24 hours. Reheat food in boiling water: Cooking pouches can be used for reheat food in boiling water at a temperature up to 100 C° for maximum of 60 minutes (1 hour). Microwave: Cooking pouch can support a maximum cooking time of 3 minutes in the microwave. important note: make sure that the package is open, otherwise vapor might burn end user and the pouch might explode. What is the maximum time & temperature for cook-in pouches?

Cook-in pouches can be used to cook for a longer period of time; mainly at low temperature in hot water. Cook-in pouches are recommended and approved for sous-vide cooking.

- Sous-vide cooking: cook-in pouches can be used for cooking or reheating in hot water up to 100 C° for a maximum of 24 hours.
- Reheat food in boiling water: cook-in pouches can be used to reheat food in boiling water at a temperature up to 100 C° for maximum of 60 minutes.
- Microwave: cook-in pouches can support a maximum cooking time of 3 minutes in the microwave. CAUTION: make sure that the package is open, otherwise vapor might burn the end user and the pouch might explode.

What is the purpose of a breathable vacuum pouch? Which are the applications for breathable pouch?

'Breathable' vacuum pouches are used mainly for smoked fish & fresh poultry. For Fresh and Smoked fish, Government of Canada required Packaging materials that have adequate oxygen transfer to prevent bacteria development in an anaerobic environment (vacuum packaging). Containers or packages made of materials with an oxygen permeability equal to or greater than 2,000 cm3/m2/24 hours at 24°C and 1 atmosphere are required for fresh and smoked fish. For fresh poultry, Breathable vacuum pouches are required for functional reason - bacteria that give off an odor; For additional applications or if you need additional explanation, please contact our team.

What are the purposes and the benefits of a shrink bag?

Shrink bags perform similar function compared to vacuum pouches which is to extend shelf life of food in an hermetically sealed package. Shrink bags form a tight 'second skin' around a product when dipped into hot water for a short period of time. Shrink characteristics give shrink bags a premium look compared to vacuum pouches. Punctures resistance of shrink bags is generally better than vacuum pouches.

Do I have to shrink my shrink bags?

No. You have the option to vacuum and shrink or simply vacuum only.

How long should I dip shrink bags in hot water?

3 seconds in heated water at 90 degrees celcius.

When should I use a barrier pouch?

When your product degrades through prolonged exposure to oxygen such as edible proteins. Our barrier pouches are impermeable to oxygen thanks to an additional layer of EVOH to the structure of the barrier pouch.

Stamping my vacuum pouches is an interesting option for my product; What do we need to do before proceeding?

We need your logo vector file (.ai). Our graphics department could mock up a logo if required. We also require color, position & orientation on the bag. If you need additional information, please contact our team.

What is the minimum order for stamping vacuum pouches?

The minimum order is 1 case and stamping production delay is between 2-3 weeks.
